There is a drive to delve into the heritage of humanity, whether its science, mathematics or art with rigor is key to a resourceful human.

An innate desire to go to the edge of the known and go further. This need to probe into the frontier is what makes a resourceful human tick.

About the Chief Map Maker- Rahim Sajan
Interdisciplinary thinker and doer-known for his skills in moving hearts and minds, through architecting powerful learning environments, as an educator, speaker and communications strategist.
Rahim is a Teacher, Curator, Founder and Co-founder of several organizations based in Calgary with global reach. One of these is TEDxCalgary, which he co- founded in 2009. Which makes him one of the longest serving TEDx Curators in the world. Rahim is a global citizen, whose work is informed by a deep love of Canada-which he has called home for 30 years.
As a teacher he has practiced his craft working as an educator in remote communities in Alberta as well as globally. He is currently a teacher and off campus programs coordinator in an alternative high school which is part of the second largest public education board in Canada.
Rahim is a trusted leader and advisor to organizations as well as other leaders. He has expertise in decision making in complexity, story telling and brand building. Empowerment of people and communities through servant leadership, defines his work.
He has been recognized for his work with an Arch Award from the University of Calgary for leading people in creating powerful learning environments within community and creating leading work like the Resourceful Human Project. Rahim is particularly passionate about helping leaders communicate powerfully. This work has included coaching over 150 leaders and experts in multiple disciplines to craft and deliver powerful communications, as well as leading national level projects.
Rahim’s coaching work is informed by his multidisciplinary background and stellar record as a speaker in his own right to academic, business and non profit audiences. His engaging thinking on the heritage of humanity, the art of leadership, thoughts on citizenship and educational futures have elicited deep reflection and emotion when he speaks. Rahim is known as a lyrical and powerful orator whose talks are defined by their ability to move hearts and minds in any audience.
Rahim received his undergraduate degrees and graduate degree from the University of Calgary and has been also recognized with various honours including being recognized as a distinguished University of Calgary Alumni, and being selected as a Top 40 under 40.
